The home page for the state
legislature is packed with information. You can search the site for legislators'
home pages, find their committee assignments, check the calendars for each
house, search for specific bills and find the latest reports issued by the
Research, Fiscal Research and Bill Drafting Divisions. The site also contains a
searchable copy of the North Carolina General Statutes.

different source databases using this Z39.50 gateway. OSPL says it is still in
the experimental phase and may not always be operational.

This site, created by the N.C. Department of Public Instruction, carries capsule
biographies of all North Carolina governors. Where available, each entry has a
picture of the governor and a reproduction of his signature.

of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the Institute of Government has a very nice
site that provides links to a number of associations of state and local
government officers. The site also provides many links to resources on North
